I hope we have sunshine by the weekend.

These colors remind me of peacock feathers.

My Aunt sent my sister and I these cards for the New Year. They only just got here because they were rerouted back to England then back to California again. She didn't include the stories but I can make up my own. I always love getting her artwork and long, typed letters, usually with an extra enclosure like an old postcard from someone in the family from decades ago.

Stopped in a thrift shop today and found a few goodies. I've been obsessed with 70's florals lately and saw this English trivet in perfect condition and had to get it.

I saw these crocheted glass covers/coasters for 75 cents each. I got them for my mom, hoping she would have something to put them over and use as a little vase in her bathroom or on a bedside table. Sure enough, she has several school milk bottles that came from an old factory and have never been used. They fit perfectly. They had a couple more of these in not such pretty colors I might need to go back for.

I bought this book after seeing this retrospective of Mariska Karasz's work at the Georgia Museum of Art a few years ago. She was a clothing designer, textile artist and author originally from Hungry but spent her adult life in the U.S. Glad to see she is well loved.

Forget-me-nots are everywhere. How could you not love these happy little flowers?
